ASLA (NSW)
presents awards for a number of achievements. Over the years many
hard working, deserving and innovative Teacher Librarians have
been rewarded. Their work has made our profession stronger.
Over
the years seven generous spirited Teacher Librarians have
been recipients
of our top award Life Membership.
The
John Hirst Award is also a prestigious
award which ASLA (NSW) awards annually, where there is a worthy
recipient. It was first set up in 1993 and is named for our inaugural
president.
The
John H Lee Memorial Award is
a newer award which was presented for the first time in 2003.
Each
Year ASLA (NSW) puts forward a nominee for the National Teacher
Librarian of the Year Award
Other
awards are presented from time to time for various reasons.
